The opportunity to match new and old has been achieved at the newly opened Vault Brewery on South Main Street in Yardley, PA. http://www.vaultbrewing.com. James and John Cain, brothers and owners, captured the history of the building’s architecture when designing the brewpub originally occupied by The Yardley National Bank.
In-house crafted brews, live jazz music, modern aesthetics, and excellent cooking can all be found here. They have specialty brews such as Belgium Blonde Ale, Bavarian Hefeweizen, Dunkelweisse, American Stout and Coffee Stout on cask. Their focused menu consists of a selection of wood fired pizzas, tapas plates, and ‘Folds’ including humus, salami & brie, and tomatoes & mozzarella.
The thoughtful layout includes beautifully exposed vats, wrought iron, and a stainless steel bar. The walls display unique artwork including a piece with repurposed old bank checks. The copper pizza oven, the beer tanks, and the use of a bank vault for wine storage really add to the authentic vibe.
In this no-nonsense brewpub you won’t find utensils, TVs, or rock-n- roll but you will find a strong devotion to finely crafted beer. Vault Brewery brings something new and different to the Yardley borough, stop by and check it out.
